About Michele…

MIchele is 4th generation New Orleanian and began her career in the hotel, restaurant and event planning industry in 1989. This experience enhanced her knowledge and helped her learn all of the important components of great events,: excellent food, fine wines, impeccable service, amazing ambiance and seamless execution.

In 2001, she left her corporate job to start Unique Weddings. She wanted to be able to create unique events across the many venues in the city. After 23 years she still remains passionate about the industry and constantly challenges herself to come up with fresh designs. When she isn’t working weddings you can find her spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying her farm in Franklinton, LA.

Ab out Brittani

Brittani began her planning career in 2001 when she began tagging along with her Mom (Michele) to events in the city. She embraced the industry when she graduated from high school and began working full-time in the catering and hotel side of events while attending UNO. This early experience led her to join Unique full time in 2009 after receiving her Bachelor’s in Business with a concentration in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism.. Her keen eye for design details and straightforward approach to planning helps her remain a popular planner in the city. She understands the complex dynamics of successful events and stops at nothing to be sure the execution is perfect. She spends most of her time with her 2 boys, Aydian (10) and Braden (4).

About Emily

Hospitality is Emily’s spiritual gift and many times she can be found cooking for friends or making dinner plans to meet up at the city’s best restaurants. Emily was invited to join Unique as a partner in 2024 after taking a brief hiatus from event planning to deal with serious illness. She previously started Emily Sullivan Events in 2006 and planned weddings for the next 15 years. She is a true Southern girl, master problem solver and logistics queen. She was also listed on the Biz Bash List of 500 most influential event professionals in the USA in 2019. Her time off is spent traveling with her sons, Lake and Taylor, who have a goal of visiting all 50 states together and working on her tiny house in the country.
