The Story of Jordan and Mac

Jordan Moses and Mac Johnson were destined to meet after he noticed her photo on the fridge of a mutual acquaintance. That turned into a text while visiting New Orleans for Mardi Gras where he invited her to go out for a "drink or 10." Their first meetup was at 3am where they made more plans. Mac met Jordan's parents the following day at their annual Krewe of Thoth party, only 1 day after meeting Jordan...and the rest they say is history.

After dating and being engaged for over a decade, the couple wanted to show their friends a great New Orleans party. After all, it's where it all started. Their wedding had all of the fun elements and great food you'd expect to find in New Orleans, from an amazing band, 2nd line parade and unique venues.

While getting wedding ready, Jordan outfitted her bridesmaids in ostrich-lined boudoir robes with matching feather heels (feathered flats also provided). Then they wore custom Azeeza Gowns & Elizabeth Cole Earrings for the evening.

Mac, the groom, was unable to escort his mom down the aisle due to health reasons, and was disappointed to walk alone. However, as he started to reach the rows of people. The crowd erupted into a loud cheer and standing ovation for him setting the tone for the whole evening.

Both of their favorite memory was a surprise from Jordan's father. He gave a heartfelt speech and then introduced the popular all male dance group in New Orleans, the 610 Stompers! They are known for bringing the party and fun!

Instead of having traditional wedding cake, the couple had "wedding cake" snoballs, another New Orleans favorite, served in engraved cups from Jordan's grandmother.  Their guests also had the option of coffee snoballs with boozy additions.

The end of the night guests were invited to an after party at BG's Lounge, also within the Fillmore. Local DJ Raj Smoove, turned tables until the morning hours in the dark speakeasy club.
