It was a beautiful Saturday in November for Rachel and Buddy’s gorgeous wedding!
The stunning bride and groom began their day getting all dolled up with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Rachel started her day off toasting with her ladies, all in their matching outfits…so cute! They were then all beautified with hair and makeup services presented by Flawless Bride…each lady was truly gorgeous!
After Rachel transformed herself into a bride, she had a first-look moment with her father. Smiles and tears of happiness were showcased…so heartfelt!
On the other side, Buddy had some fun with his groomsmen! The dashing group of men all flaunted some handsome suits and festive bow ties.
Once everyone was ready to walk down the aisle, they all headed to the St. Louis Cathedral, where the romantic wedding ceremony took place. The bridal party’s walk down the aisle was complemented by the beautiful song, Canon in D by Pachelbel, while the bride walked to the song, Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring. The ceremony then began, which was a truly intimate and beautiful event!
After Rachel and Buddy tied the knot, they then headed out to take their formal photos with the lovely photographer Mekina Saylor, while their guests headed to the Old Ursuline Convent Museum, where their festive wedding reception took place!
The setting couldn’t have been more gorgeous, as Arbor House Floral created such stunning floral arrangements, which complemented the décor showcased by New Orleans Candlelight Décor beautifully.
The couple started off their reception with a romantic first dance to the sound of That’s How Strong My Love Is by Otis Redding. In addition, Rachel had a father/daughter dance to Soulshine by The Allman Brothers, while Buddy had a mother/son dance to Say a Little Prayer for You by Aretha Franklin.
However, the fun didn’t stop there, as it was just beginning! A delicious meal was served, comprised of a variety of scrumptious foods. Mini gorgonzola burgers, chipotle shrimp, crawfish wontons…yum!
After dinner, it’s only a must that dessert is served! So, Rachel and Buddy took part in a festive cake cutting ceremony, with a gorgeous cake which was baked up by Frosted Fantasies by Nikki. In addition, Buddy had his own grooms cake!
It was then time to hit the dance floor! Guests certainly enjoyed dancing the night away to the celebratory music presented by the Phat Hat Band. As the night when on, guests certainly needed to gain back some energy. So, Rachel and Buddy presented them with late night snacks…a brick oven pizza station!
After hours of celebrating, it was then time to end the night on a high note! The newlyweds took part in a second line parade with music presented by Kinfolk Brass Band. This was certainly an event to remember!
